About Allison

A native of Colorado, Allison Wild is a soprano with a wide variety of vocal experience and mastery. She has been teaching voice for 10 years and has been praised for her ability to help students overcome their unique vocal obstacles. In April 2021, Allison graduated with a BM from Brigham Young University in Music Education with an emphasis in choral education. In addition to her extensive training in the elite BYU School of Music, Allison has several years of experience teaching middle school and high school choirs. She also was a music teacher at the acclaimed Art City Music Academy and is certified to teach their Mighty Musicians curriculum, a fabulous program aimed to help children excel in music.

In addition to her teaching experience, Allison has a great vocal experience and mastery in solo and choral settings. Her recent experience has included singing with the world-renowned BYU Singers, starring in various music videos, and collaborating with elite choirs such as Tenebrae and the Tallis Scholars. She currently sings with the Master Chorale of South Florida and was with them for their critically acclaimed performance of Mozart’s Requiem with the Palm Beach Symphony, as well as their performance with Andrea Bocelli in Miami as part of his Believe world tour. Other experience includes being the lead singer for the internationally recognized BYU Jazz Legacy Band, and Route 89, a professional pop/rock band based in Utah.

In addition to her choral experience with BYU Singers under the direction of Dr. Andrew Crane, Allison has sung with BYU Concert Choir under the direction of Rosalind Hall and Dr. Brent Wells, BYU Women’s chorus under the direction of Jean Applonie, and the ACDA National Honor choir. In 2018, she was featured as a soloist in Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms. Allison has also been featured as a soloist for the elite Utah valley choir, A Voice for Good, including a solo performance at the ACDA State Conference. In 2019, she was seen in the role of Mary, Mother of Jesus, in the production Lamb of GodIn the summer of 2018, Allison performed several shows each day in the historic town of Nauvoo, Illinois, including two lead roles.

Awards and recognition include 3rd place in NATS in the Cali-western region in 2018 in the Musical Theatre category, 2nd place in the state of Utah in the NATS 2017 competition, and 1st place in the Western Central Region in 2014. Allison also qualified to be featured in the 2020 Young Artist competition at BYU. While at BYU, she studied voice with Michele Scott and Kerilyn Johnson, and vocal pedagogy with Dr. Jennifer Youngs. She also studied voice and diction with Darrell Babidge, Dr. Robert Brandt, and Dr. Diane Reich.
